Fundraising Meeting
July 14, 1991

Fundraiser set for September 7, 1991 at the building
Robert to confirm band, major local bands are sought
Time 6:00-11:00  A pre-opening celebration for the co-op
Refreshments to be donated by supporters

A flier will be enclosed with newsletter
Two weeks before event the media should be contacted
Liquor license to be obtained
Cost: $15.00

Helen to check with Terry Lodge on our name status, as we cannot publicize, our sign agreements until we are legal

We may be able to incorporate as a 501 not for profit organization which will give us such benefits as public service announcements, lower postage rates, and tax exempt status for purchases
Helen will ask Terry about this also

Skip will work on a phone rap for solicitating money and memberships, potential large donators need to be approached independently by board members. The mailing list will be screened to separate the list into categories of donation requests.

Ideas for further fundraisers:
Earth day dinner annually
Fundraisers to target specific groups attracting potential new members: ie. students, unions, seniors, hospitals
Corporate memberships/ Business donations that would give employees a membership

Suggested that fundraisers occur every two months, to raise $1000.00 each
