Minutes, Board Meeting 3/28/18
Location: Toledo-Lucas County Main Library Present:Thomas Fine, Maureen Ciesinski, Hermann von Grafenstein, Shelly Boraby, Alyx Kendzierski, Anita Levin, Mary Sawers, Sean Fitzgerald (General Manager)

The meeting began at 6:40 pm.
- Approval of minutes
The minutes of the 2/28/18 board meeting were approved as circulated. MSC
- Review of past action items

12/20/17
- Mary –investigate commercial shared kitchen at Collingwood Presbyterian Church to connect coop — Find out pricing – Christine Palmer 419 243-3275 $35 hour DONE
- Alyx& Maureen – Gettraining from Kent Library on Twitter need to talk to Morgan re: Facebook – ongoing
- Claudia— Pinterest – ongoing
1/24/18
- Sean – Investigate Farmers Market, Black Creek Farms for HABA –DONE
- Hermann will write to Chris Johnson's daughter expressing condolences for the death of her mother. Getting address. DONE
- Sean will identify items that could be displayed/offered at a coop booth at a farmer's-market (e.g. bulk items). ONGOING
- Sean will send messages to "old regulars" who have not visited the coop for some time. ONGOING
2/28/18
- Hermann – talk to Sean about Alternative ordering. DONE
- Tom –contact appraiser. ONGOING will ask Mary how to approach
- Maureen – called library but couldn't get Coop access to Mark Pollan DONE
- Hermann – begin GM Evaluation — DONE
- General Manager's report – Sean Reviewed report as circulated. Discussed labeling Coop grown items separately. Video from The Blade release date of 4/11/18.
- Financial report
Tom presented Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet for review. The coop is breaking even but sales continue to decline but our losses are less than in 2017. Aged AR reviewed. We are paying up some of our bills. Investigate the need for an audit or financial review by outside source.
Building appraisal
- Landlord Royce Haddad proposing a price range for the sale of the building to the coop.
- A committee was formed to investigate the purchase. Members of the committee are: Tom Fine, Hermann von Grafenstein, Anita Levin, and GM Sean Fitzgerald. Committee needs to meet. Tom to convene.
- Outreach committee report – Adrienne did not attend.
- Quarterly Potluck — Anita and Maureen will identify date, time and place for this summer.
- Don White Fundraiser discussed May 6, 2018. Need entire Board to obtain prizes and silent raffle/auction items.
- GM Review — IN Progress. Directors to fill in paper as circulated by email.

- Mary – check with Mark Mockensturm about how to ask Zyndorf for a favor
- Mary/Sean – Review/investigate Financial Review per NCG requirements.
- Tom – convene Building Committee meeting to investigate condition of building etc and make proposal to buy or not to buy building. Compare with Royce's price and appraised value.
- EVERYONE – Get donations for may 6 fundraiser
- Anita & Maureen — get day time and place for Potluck this summer
- EVERYONE— Complete GM Evaluation paperwork
